Robert Chase Memorial Fund

Helping People Reach Their Potential

Hundreds of people with disabilities in our community are not receiving the services and support they need to live up to their full potential. The Robert Chase Memorial Fund helps bridge that gap by providing scholarship assistance for individuals who:

  • Are on the waiting list for funding
  • Have experienced significant reductions in their funding through the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD)

The fund was established to honor the life of Robert Chase, a compassionate young man who began volunteering at MTC as a teenager. His early experiences left a lasting impression, inspiring him to dedicate his life to serving people with developmental disabilities—until his untimely passing in 1994.

Art with Impact

Robert’s father, Captain Ray Chase, was a well-known Tampa artist and retired mariner. He specialized in maritime and Old Florida landscape oil paintings, generously donating all proceeds from the sale of his artwork to the Robert Chase Memorial Fund.
