Volunteer

We Appreciate Our Volunteers

MacDonald Training Center is deeply grateful for the wonderful volunteers who generously share their time and talents in support of our mission.

Your support often makes the difference — whether it’s helping someone master a new skill, contributing to the success of a team project, or ensuring an event runs smoothly.

Because of you, the people we serve have greater opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive.

Become a Volunteer and join this amazing community of difference-makers.

MTC has many volunteer opportunities which range from clean-up and painting projects to professional and technical consultation. Do you have a skill or talent which you would like to share with the people we serve? A professional acumen or services to donate? A willingness to roll up your sleeves and pitch in to help?

Mentoring Opportunity!

Imagine how hard it is to get a job when you have a disability.

Would you like to help a person with a disability get ready for employment by brushing up their resume and practicing interviewing before he or she gets in front of an actual employer?

Please join us at MacDonald Training Center (MTC) for a Mentoring Meeting , a one-hour mock job fair setting. Students in eMerge Career Collaborative, MTC’s innovative post-secondary school will get to practice their interviewing skills with a person assuming the role of a potential employer—you!

It’s a wonderful way to help your friends and neighbors with disabilities get ready to succeed in the workplace.

Volunteer for Beads Sorting and Repackaging!

Repurposing Gasparilla Pirate Beads is a fun and interactive team-building experience, especially for large groups. Volunteers will sort, batch, and package beads. This is an indoor activity but we require our volunteers to wear gloves. You can bring your own gloves or MTC will provide gloves for each volunteer. MTC can host individual or group volunteers during the week or provide beads for do-it-yourself at home pirate fun.
