FARF/RESPECT of FLORIDA HONORS!

We are thrilled to congratulate the following for recognition received:

 Darian Roman, a member of the MTC community since 2018, received the 2024 RESPECT of Florida Micro-Enterprise Grant for his start up t-shirt company, Roman Empire. Darian plans to use the grant to further grow his business by enrolling in MTC’s Small Business Entrepreneurship Certification Program.

 Laura Bravo, was named Employee of the Year – Commodities! Laura’s journey with MTC began at a summer camp for Deaf and hard of hearing teens. Since joining the team in September 2018, she has become an essential part of our SunPass transponder packaging for the Florida Turnpike Authority. Laura’s dedication and exceptional skills have earned her a promotion to an instructor role for a new MTC program, where she will take on additional leadership responsibilities. Her story, from camper to instructor, is a powerful example of determination and growth.

 MTC received the Employment Center of the Year – Commodities award! Since 2007, MTC has been packaging transponders for Florida Enterprises through the RESPECT Program, and recently, the team celebrated packaging and shipping the 20 millionth SunPass transponder—a major achievement!

 Florida Turnpike Enterprises was awarded The Customer of the Year – Commodities award (represented by Juan I. Gomez-Lobo Rodriguez, Director of Toll Operations and Daniel Muniz, Deputy Director of Toll Operations) Florida Turnpike Enterprises has been our partner on the road to success with SunPass for 16 years. This partnership highlights the exceptional work performed by individuals with disabilities, who have gained invaluable job skills that will serve them throughout their careers.

Packaging, Kitting and Fulfillment are areas of great expertise and experience, providing quality services to the business community. MTC has proudly packaged and shipped over 20 million SunPass transponders for Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise since 2007.

MTC’s expansive, dedicated “Distribution Center” replicates industry standards and is adjacent to our main production area. It is used for receipt, temporary storage, and redistribution of goods according to customer orders as they are received.

MTC offers comprehensive Day Services, individualized Employment Services, enriching Youth Camp Experiences, supportive Residential Services that promote independence and community living. MTC’s eMerge Career Collaborative provides innovative Post-Secondary Education.

Shop greeting cards created by MTC Fine Artists—available online and at our Tampa location. You can also purchase repurposed parade beads, sorted, and packaged by volunteers. In partnership with the City of Tampa, these reclaimed beads are kept out of Tampa Bay and sold back to parade crews for local celebrations.
