EMERGE CAREER EDUCATION REACHES MILESTONE!

MTC elevated educational and vocational opportunities to people with disabilities in a powerful paradigm shift, led by MTC’s visionary CEO, with the support of its Board of Directors.

The pilot program grew with financial support from The Able Trust, Hillsborough County, City of Tampa and Bank of America. The innovative program centers on globally-recognized, industry-certified vocational training in four high-growth sectors: technology, manufacturing, healthcare and hospitality. Each track leads to an industry-standard certification, such as Certified Logistics Associate or Microsoft Office Specialist,  demonstrating to a future employer that the MTC student has the content knowledge, hands-on technical training, personal and professional skills required for employment and career advancement.

We are proud to announce that the educational program has grown exponentially, now expanded into an exciting and unique post-secondary school,  licensed by the Florida Department of Education as eMerge Career Education.

Vocational Rehabilitation, (VR)  has approved the technology, logistics and healthcare/environmental courses as miscellaneous training programs.  This dual endorsement  indicates that eMerge has fulfilled specific standards established by these authoritative bodies, ensuring that the training is both credible and aligned with educational and vocational objectives.

“We are grateful for the support of the FDOE and VR, ” says President and CEO, Karenne Levy. “At MTC we believe in shattering barriers by providing equal access and opportunity for people with all disabilities. We are proud to work together to elevate, educate and empower a generation of students with disabilities to enter the workforce. Communities that are open to the talents of all people promote success and a better life for everyone.”
