Join Us for the 2nd Annual Community Recognition Dinner

On April 16, 2026, MacDonald Training Center (MTC) invites you to a remarkable evening at the historic Cuban Club in Tampa. Together, we will celebrate a legacy that began in 1953—a legacy built on vision, courage, and the unwavering belief that every person with a disability deserves to be valued, included, and empowered.

Founded by J. Clifford MacDonald over 70 years ago, MTC has remained a cornerstone of advocacy in our community. While we honor our rich history, this evening is dedicated to the MTC Champions of today—the leaders who “lean in” to ensure our vision continues to grow.

Hope in Action: Honoring Those Who Inspire Change

We are proud to recognize four extraordinary partners whose leadership and compassion are redefining what is possible for the people we serve:

  • The Honorable Fran Davin: A beloved past MTC Board Chair and devoted public servant. Her courageous advocacy and steady guidance have expanded dignity for underserved communities, leaving a legacy that will impact generations.
  • Bank of America: A treasured partner whose forward-thinking investments in workforce innovation are building vital pathways to independence and economic mobility for people with disabilities.
  • The Florida Aquarium: A passionate advocate for both environmental stewardship and human potential. Through the Bead-Free Bay initiative and on-site workforce training, they are turning community action into real-world opportunity.
  • Raymond James: An early champion of MTC’s Post-Secondary Educational Program. By creating paid internships and meaningful employment pathways, they have helped launch careers and unlock independence.

An Evening of Opportunity

The Community Recognition Dinner offers a meaningful opportunity to invest in programs that expand possibilities. Your presence and support help us shape a community defined by opportunity, inclusion, and hope.
